A penny saved is a penny earned, but a penny given can add up to changing the life of a child.

    Penny Power is hosted in the Tangipahoa Parish Schools every February. It is part one of our major fundraisers. Children bring

various denominations of coin, cash, and checks to help reach classroom goals. When goals are met, pizza parties are provided. We appreciate the School Board for allowing TARC into their hearts and their schools for the last 16 years and counting.

A history of success.

    Each year the amount collected has grown. In 2007, over $67,000.00 was collected. TARC would like to thank everyone who makes this such a great success. From the volunteers who help haul and count, the bank workers and especially the teachers, children, and principals this project would not be such a great success. Keep up the great work. A few coins collected by many makes a BIG difference for special need children.
